Tag managers

The RUM getting started guide has instructions for deploying the RUM snippet. This explains how to put RUM in your pages in order to collect performance data from your users. Those instructions say to put the snippet as early in the page as possible, i.e. at the top of the <HEAD> element.

While it is possible to use the snippet with a tag manager, we recommend taking extra care to ensure that the tag manager inserts the lux.js script as close to the top of the <HEAD> element as possible. If the script is inserted too late in the page, RUM may not collect crucial data like CPU timing and user interactions.
