On 3 December 2024 (UTC) we made some changes to the way that RUM browsers are classified within SpeedCurve. These changes primarily affect mobile browsers, but some desktop browsers are affected too. Below is a summary of the notable changes:
You now have the ability allow view only users to execute synthetic tests. To opt-in, enable the permission in your Team settings (Admin>Teams>) Only org admins have the abilyt to modify Team settings.
On the 30th of November, we will remove the option to opt out of our new POST beacon. The following LUX option will be ignored and should be removed from your code.
We've added two new ways to filter your RUM data: delivery type and geographical region.
The changes that we announced to the way we collect Core Web Vitals metrics in RUM have come into effect today. As a result, you may see your Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and Interaction to Next Paint (INP) metrics increase or decrease.
We have released the latest version of our synthetic test agents to all regions. This release includes the latest stable version of Chrome and Firefox.
