We've made some updates to our synthetic testing agents.
RUM update: lux.js v4.0.29
Today we have released lux.js v4.0.29. Please note that v4.0.28 was skipped. The previous version was v4.0.27.
RUM update: bot list updates
Our bot list is used to identify and exclude bot traffic from SpeedCurve RUM data. Today we have updated our bot list to add the following user-agents:
Better RUM mobile browser classification
On 3 December 2024 (UTC) we made some changes to the way that RUM browsers are classified within SpeedCurve. These changes primarily affect mobile browsers, but some desktop browsers are affected too. Below is a summary of the notable changes:
Allow view only users to execute synthetic tests
You now have the ability allow view only users to execute synthetic tests. To opt-in, enable the permission in your Team settings (Admin>Teams>) Only org admins have the abilyt to modify Team settings.
RUM update: POST beacon opt-out ends Nov 30th
On the 30th of November, we will remove the option to opt out of our new POST beacon. The following LUX option will be ignored and should be removed from your code.
