RUM update: improvements to how we collect RUM data

The changes that we announced to the way we collect Core Web Vitals metrics in RUM have come into effect today. As a result, you may see your Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and Interaction to Next Paint (INP) metrics increase or decrease.
The main reason your metrics will change is because the new RUM beacon measures data for longer, so it is more likely to capture performance events that occur late in the page lifecycle. In most cases this will cause your metric values to increase. In some rare cases, metrics may decrease.
You can find more information on our blog post. If you have any questions about your data, please don't hesitate to contact us: [email protected].
