We run all our WebPageTest agents using Amazon AWS EC2 so that you get a consistent test environment across all regions.

Standard Regions

US East Coast (Northern Virginia)
US West Coast (Northern California)
Ireland (Dublin)
Germany (Frankfurt)
Japan (Tokyo)
Singapore
Australia (Sydney)
Brazil (São Paulo)

The standard regions run the m1.medium instance size with the exception of Germany that runs m3.medium.

High CPU Regions

On our Enterprise plans you can choose to switch to an optional higher CPU instance which gives you access to the latest AWS regions. We generally prefer the standard regions with the m1.medium instance as the CPU is a better approximation of mobile device performance. Unfortunately AWS doesn't have the m1.medium instance available in some of its newer regions, so we had to use the m4.large to get a consistent instance size across all regions.

US East Coast (Northern Virginia)
US West Coast (Northern California)
Canada (Central)
Ireland (Dublin)
England (London)
Germany (Frankfurt)
Japan (Tokyo)
Korea (Seoul)
Singapore
Australia (Sydney)
India (Mumbai)
Brazil (São Paulo)

The high CPU regions run the m4.large instance size.

AWS EC2 Instances

m1.medium
vCPU = 1
Memory = 3.75 GB
Storage = Disk

m4.large
vCPU = 2
Memory = 8GB
Storage = SSD
